Even if you lift the heaviest weights you’ll still be very fit. In fact, you’ll gain more muscles in a shorter period of time than by doing lots of reps.
In order to build big muscles you need to do workouts that really overload your muscles, forcing them to grow. You can’t do this by training slow, neither. By working your muscles hard, you damage them. Your muscles need to be pushed to the point where they can’t hold on to an exercise, such as during bench presses or curls. When you do your workouts fast, the force that is used against your muscles isn’t really enough to cause serious damage.

Your muscles are already strong and buff. You just have to focus more on exercises that work different muscles in different ways. Bodyweight exercises are great because they work out multiple muscle groups. You can do squats, chest presses, and deadlifts with a bodyweight. They are all great for building muscle mass.

You can usually find free weight exercises at a local gym. Some gyms will let you bring your own dumbbells and barbells to work with. You can use gym equipment to help you gain muscle, or you can find exercises to challenge all of your muscle groups. I recommend exercising in a gym where you can watch other people working out because it’s more fun to watch someone else workout. Just remember, the most important part of building muscle is not to overdo it and to take your time.
